We chose to move all short-sleeve tees to hemp for two main reasons:

Quality - although our original 100% cotton tee's still work fantastically, we wanted something that stood out for more than just the vehicle designs being printed on the t-shirts. We think that on all fronts where we have landed with our organic hemp & organic cotton mix truly is the best of both worlds. The blend retains the comfort and softness that makes organic cotton so nice to wear and the hemp brings in a natural strength and durability that makes it a more reliable and longer lasting, good for your pocket and the planet! Which brings us to our second reason - planet.

 

Sustainability - before starting our quest for a better fabric, we had actually no idea just how much better hemp material is for the planet than cotton.

Hemp plants:

• absorb 4x as much CO² from the atmosphere than most trees
• do not require pesticides or sprays to grow, meaning that it is unintentionally organic
• require about 1/4 as much water to grow than cotton
• tt is incredibly fast growing reaching full size in about 90 days, unlike cotton which takes around 6 + months
• are a stronger material than cotton meaning more durable, meaning you need to buy more, less
